    InsideOut Literary Arts Project engages children in the pleasure and power of reading and writing. We place professional writers in schools to help students develop their self-expression and give them opportunities to publish and perform their work.

    IO Matching Challenge Grant

    Help IO capture a generous $25,000 matching grant from our founding donor, Hollywood film producer and Detroit native, Bob Shaye. Over the years, IO has taught some 40,000 students, published over 330 titles of poetry journals, received numerous awards and accepted two invites to The White House.
